Create a beautiful front yard with DreamzAR (Beta)
immex.tech has been running their Public Beta program for the DreamzAR (Beta) app on iOS. DreamzAR (Beta) app takes a fresh look at designing, visualizing, and iterating over the process of landscaping.
Landscaping PROs spend a good chunk of time visiting clients, measuring the area, designing, and providing estimates (quote) every week. Ask any PRO and they will tell you it's a time-consuming job, with comparatively less ROI (# of Ratio of Quotes generated to Signed Contracts).
With DreamzAR (Beta) app, the landscaping (as well as Hardscaping) PROs will have a quick way to design the client’s front (or back or side) yard and share the design with the client. When clients make suggestions, they can quickly iterate over the design and share it again with the clients.
DreamzAR (Beta) app enables PROs to have a meaningful conversation around the project as clients can see what they are going to get once the project is done. When the clients get to see how their finished project will look like, PROs have a higher chance of closing the deal (signing the contract!) faster.
DreamzAR (Beta) app automates some of the manual steps before project quotes are generated. Here they are:
Identify work area
The App scans the area and identifies (horizontal) surfaces to work with.
Add new Ground cover area
Depending upon the project, you can divide the work area into multiple sub-areas — each with its own ground covers like Pavers (Walkways/Pathways), Mulch, or Lawn. To create the sub-area, start with adding a new Ground Cover area
Mark the work area boundary
Create bounded area by dropping boundary markers. DreamzAR app shows live measurements as you move around the work area to create a bounded ground cover area.
Measure the work area perimeter (linear feet) and area (square feet)
As you continue to define the bounded area, app shows you linear footage and square footage of the defined area.
Add hard surfaces (like Pavers) or Turf or cover the area with garden mulch
Once you have the ground cover area defined, choose from the inventory of ground covers to apply the desired ground cover.
Add plants — choose from pollinator-friendly flowering plants or drought-friendly grasses
DreamzAR app has a collection of garden plants to choose from. More plants would be added in the future.
Add garden features like pergolas, arbors, benches, or wooden fence
DreamzAR app has a collection of garden features to choose from. More features would be added in the future.
Make changes to the design
Revisit your design, select alternate landscape features and iterate over a design.
Take pictures and videos of the design, share them with the client
Tap the snapshot button to save a photo of your design from a perspective. You can also use iPhone’s screen-recording to record a video of your design as you walk around the designed landscape.
Save the project design
You may want to save the project for future design iterations.
Share it with the client
If the client provides feedback or has suggestions, make modifications to the saved project design and share it again.
